STAKO is currently a company owned by the American giant in the production of pressure tanks for storing various types of gases, Worthington Cylinders.
However, the company has Polish origins and a history dating back to 1967, when Michał Staniuk opened the Locksmith and Boilermaker Plant. Throughout its many years of development, the company produced tanks and containers of various sizes. In the production of tanks, the company cooperated with the German company IFA.
In 1989, the company changed its name and from then on operated as the Metal Products Plant STAKO. At first, the company manufactured agricultural equipment and parts for passenger cars manufactured in Poland under the license of FIAT.
Since 1990, STAKO has started producing LPG car tanks and is currently a world leader in their production.
In 2003, STAKO implemented and certified the Quality System based on the ISO 9001:2000 standard, and since January 2007, the company has been operating a Quality Management System according to the ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard.
Since 2011, STAKO has been operating within the structures of Worthington Cylinders.
STAKO currently produces LPG tanks (cylindrical and toroidal) and composite CNG tanks (type III), which are delivered to over 50 countries around the world.
