STAG tap-02 ignition advance variator

TAP-02 ignition timing variator from the Polish company AC Białystok.

Variator designed for digital crankshaft speed sensors (Hall or optical). The ignition advance angle variator is included in the crankshaft position sensor circuit and, additionally, in the camshaft position sensor circuit (optional) and generates a signal to the petrol computer ahead of the sensor signal by a few to several degrees, which causes additional fuel injection and ignition advance by this corner. The signal from the gas solenoid valve (fuel type detection) and the TPS throttle position sensor (idling speed detection) are used to control the operation of the variator, and optionally the signal from the MAP-sensor (load signal for 2D or 3D maps). Ignition advance (positive angle value) causes earlier ignition of the mixture in the cylinder, which enables a more optimal combustion process of the gas-air mixture.
