After installing a car gas system
After installing a car gas system, it is necessary to register it in the vehicle's registration document. Based on the documents that the driver receives from the workshop after installation, such as an invoice for the installation, a certificate of homologation of the installation method adapted to a given type of vehicle for gas supply, and a protocol of the LPG tank inspection and the decision allowing it to be used (commonly referred to as a tank passport), issued by the Technical Inspection Authority for Transport (TDT), an official from the communication department enters the official annotations "LPG" or "gas" and the date of installation in the registration document.
Registering gas in the car's documents
Failure to report an LPG installation to the communication department and lack of entry in the registration document after the deadline designated for it may expose the vehicle user to a certain kind of danger.
Road inspection
This is related to the possibility of confiscating the registration document during a road inspection.
The authority conducting such an inspection can also fine the driver for failing to register gas in the registration document.
Registration inspection (technical inspection)
Another case where the lack of registration of LPG in the registration document can end up causing inconvenience for the driver is the annual registration inspection at a vehicle testing station.
Negative result of technical inspection
The lack of LPG registration in the registration document during a technical inspection results in a negative outcome because the absence of the gas installation registration in the document may indicate that the car does not meet the technical requirements associated with installing a car gas system.
After such a (negative) inspection, one should go to the communication department and register LPG in the registration document and carry out a technical inspection of the vehicle associated with the formal defect of the absence of the LPG fuel registration in the document.
Deadline for registering gas in the document
All changes in the vehicle that require registration in the registration document, including those related to the installation of a gas system in the car, should be made in the vehicle documents within 30 days from the date of their creation.
It is important to observe the 30-day deadline for registering LPG in the registration document because the aforementioned set of documents is required for its completion, and as we know, these documents can get lost or misplaced over time, creating another problem associated with their reproduction.
