Local Market
A very important factor affecting the prices of automotive LPG systems, regardless of their generation, is the local market in which the LPG installation workshop operates. Individual workshops in the same area usually maintain similar prices for automotive LPG installations. However, there are significant differences between regions of the country, resulting from local conditions such as average wages, prices, and fixed operating costs.
Generations of LPG Systems
The prices of automotive LPG systems also vary depending on their generation and suitability for a particular group of engines or a specific engine model (in the case of systems for engines with direct gasoline injection).
Vacuum Systems with Manual Adjustment
Vacuum systems are known as 1st-generation LPG systems, where the gas fuel is supplied to the engine at a single point, typically in the initial section of the intake system. There, a mixer is installed, which, based on the principle of a carburetor, forms a gas-air mixture delivered to the engine’s combustion chambers.
These are the least expensive LPG fuel systems available on the market. They are used mainly in older cars with carburetor engines or single-point fuel injection systems.
Sometimes, such systems are also applied to older engines with multi-point fuel injection.
Prices of vacuum automotive LPG systems (1st generation – without electronics):
- For carbureted engines – from approx. 1,800 PLN to 2,900 PLN,
- For engines with single-point fuel injection – from approx. 2,000 PLN to 2,900 PLN,
- For engines with multi-point fuel injection – from approx. 2,900 PLN to 3,500 PLN (higher values apply to engines with more than four cylinders).
Vacuum Systems with Electronic Control
These LPG fuel systems are used in engines with single- or multi-point gasoline injection.
Vacuum systems with electronic control are known as 2nd-generation installations. Just like in 1st-generation systems, gas is introduced into the engine’s intake manifold through a single-point mixer.
The prices of 2nd-generation automotive LPG systems (with electronic control) depend on the local market conditions and typically range between:
- approx. 1,800 PLN to 3,900 PLN (higher values apply to engines with more than four cylinders).
Sequential Gas Injection (Vapor Phase)
Sequential LPG systems are currently the most popular type of gas fuel systems used in modern engines equipped with indirect gasoline injection. These are 4th-generation systems that inject vapor-phase LPG sequentially through gas injectors mounted in individual intake manifold channels.
Their prices also depend heavily on the region where the workshop operates and usually range between:
- approx. 2,900 PLN to over 8,000 PLN (higher values apply to engines with more than four cylinders).
Systems for Engines with Direct Gasoline Injection
These are currently the most advanced automotive LPG systems, using sequential vapor-phase injection, whose controllers also manage the operation of gasoline injectors. Their operation with small doses of gasoline ensures adequate cooling and prevents injector damage.
The prices of automotive LPG systems for engines with direct gasoline injection range between:
- approx. 5,000 PLN and 9,000 PLN (higher values apply to engines with more than four cylinders).
The prices of automotive LPG systems vary significantly due to the wide diversity of vehicles on the market and local economic conditions.
